Mount & Blade

For those of you who have never heard of this fantastic game, you should really check it out! Mount & Blade is a single-player sandbox action RPG by a very small Turkish development studio. The project was started by only two people! Recently, they've even obtained a producer to help them distribute the final version all over the world. (Rumor is the full version is coming out this year, possibly in May.) Although Mount & Blade doesn't have amazing graphics, it sports some of the most fun and dynamic gameplay that easily rivals and often surpasses games developed by professional studios with a lot more money. Fighting and riding is both fun and intuitive. Combat involves attacking or defending in up to 4 different angles, so defending the right direction is essential to stopping your enemy from chopping you up. There's no magic and no healing potions, so make every move count. It may sound difficult, but as I said, it's very intuitive and easy to pick up with little to no instruction! Mount & Blade allows for a free trial up to level 6. It's a great game and I recommend it very highly! Also, there are a number of mods for Mount & Blade, so replay value is virtually limitless as modders continue developing their own renditions of the game. Check it out at Tale Worlds!
